Marketing Lead – Conservation
Location: Hybrid (Santiago, Chile area with travel to conservation sites 3–4x/month)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative, strategic, and mission-driven Marketing Lead to spearhead communications and visibility efforts for a conservation-focused project in Chile. This short-term role is ideal for a marketing professional passionate about environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and community engagement.
The Marketing Lead will work closely with NGO staff, local partners, and field teams to shape and deliver a cohesive outreach strategy that supports awareness, donor engagement, and public education across digital and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a 6-month marketing and communications plan tailored to conservation and environmental audiences
Lead the creation of content across platforms, including social media, newsletters, blogs, photo essays, and short videos
Coordinate storytelling efforts around project milestones, conservation site work, and local community impact
Manage brand alignment, messaging consistency, and visual identity across all materials
Plan and attend 3–4 field visits per month to conservation areas for interviews, content gathering, and partner coordination
Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and field staff to produce compelling assets
Track campaign metrics and analytics to optimize reach and engagement
Support donor-facing communications and grant-related storytelling needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, environmental studies, or a related field
3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public outreach—preferably with NGOs, conservation, or impact-driven projects
Strong content development skills—storytelling, writing, and visual communication
Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Buffer, Hootsuite), CMS platforms, and basic design/editing tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish (required); English proficiency highly desirable
Willingness and ability to travel to field sites near Santiago 3–4 times per month
Comfortable working across hybrid settings with diverse stakeholders
Preferred:
Experience working on projects related to environmental conservation, indigenous land rights, or sustainable tourism
Knowledge of Chilean geography, ecology, or local community dynamics
Familiarity with donor communications or impact reporting
